Privacy
Pedagogy Suite is built for schools and trusts that handle sensitive student development information. This overview explains the privacy principles that should guide school use, parent access, and institutional administration.
Student information is handled with care
Pedagogy Suite may work with academic progress, attendance, observations, support actions, counselling-related context, parent communication records, uploaded documents, and year-to-year student development history. This information should be treated as sensitive school information.
Access follows each person’s role
Teachers, counsellors, principals, trustees, and administrators should see only the information needed for their approved responsibilities. Access should match the school’s internal duties, not personal curiosity or convenience.
Parent views are intentionally limited
Pedagogy PI is designed to share clear parent guidance, not unrestricted access to school records. Private notes, sensitive observations, staff-only evidence, and internal workflows should remain protected inside the school’s approved process.
History supports continuity, not overexposure
Student history can help schools support continuity across academic years, class changes, and staff handovers. Historical records should still be shared only with authorized people and only for appropriate educational purposes.
Protection is part of responsible use
Schools should use secure sign-in practices, approved user accounts, access review, protected documents, encrypted communication, and careful administration so that student information is not exposed beyond authorized users.
Human review remains essential
Privacy-sensitive educational decisions should remain within the school’s approved professional process. AI-assisted summaries should not bypass teacher, counsellor, principal, safeguarding, or institutional review.
School responsibility
Each school or trust remains responsible for lawful data collection, consent practices where applicable, user approval, access review, retention decisions, safeguarding procedures, and compliance with its own policies and local requirements.
Formal privacy terms
This page is a public overview. Detailed privacy commitments, data handling responsibilities, retention expectations, support responsibilities, and institution-specific arrangements should be confirmed in the formal onboarding and subscription documents shared with the school or trust.
